About Mariam :

Doctor of Natural Medicine with a special focus on women’s hormonal, psychological, and sexual and reproductive health. She has a Masters with a focus on the intersections of Islamic law and health. An only parent, Khan is passionate about conscious parenting. Khan believes the most important work you will ever do is on the relationship with yourself and with your loved ones. She believes your relationship with Allah and the rest of His creation begins there.




Experience and Progression :

 

  • Produced and presented two shows on a Durban-based Muslim community radio station: a weekly health show (2011 – 2015) and a daily lifestyle show (2014 – 2015).  
  • Health consultant on a Cape Town-based Muslim community radio station (2012 – 2013).  
  • Presented a health segment on SABC’s pioneer Muslim television program (January – December 2015).  
  • Sexual wellness consultant on SAFM (2021 – 2022).
  • Bachelor of Complementary Health Science (summa cum laude)
  • Bachelor of Complementary Medicine - Unani Medicine (summa cum laude)
