LotusFM in association with Taj Conference Centre will be giving away all-expenses paid wedding to one lucky and deserving couple in February 2018. The Bridal party will enjoy a lovely venue, décor; catering, MC and the special day will be captured in photographs and film.
Stand a chance to win a wedding by following the steps below:-
Step 1: Couples who are interested in getting married and cannot afford to do so may enter by sending a motivation letter to firstname.lastname@example.org. The motivation letter must include a brief synopsis of their love story and why they should be the couple selected to win the wedding. Entries open on the 12th December 2017 and close on the 11th January 2018. A judging panel will then chose 5 deserving couples, which will go through to the next round. The short listed couples will be announced on-air on the 12th January 2018.
Step 2: On the 17th January 2018, the 5 short listed couples will be invited to a live broadcast at M1 Studios SABC KZN. A compatibility test will be conducted on the Afternoon Takeover Show with Varshan Sookhun. Based on the scores 2 couples will be chosen to go into
the final round.
Step 3: The fate of the finalists will be left in the hands of our listeners. Listeners will have to vote for their Favorite couple via sms or on website polls on www.lotusfm.co.za. Voting will open on the 19th January 2018 and close on the 25th January 2018.
The winner will be announced on the 26th January 2018.
Competition Terms and Conditions:
a. This competition is open to everyone except directors, members, partners, employees, agents and consultants of the SABC and/ or the competition promoters, and/ or their spouses, life partners, parents, children, brothers, sisters, business partners or associates.
b. No person may enter the same or any other competition hosted partly or in whole by Lotus FM within 90 days of winning a competition hosted or in whole by LotusFM
c. The competition will start on the 12th December 2017 and end on the 11th January 2018. Entries received after this date/time will not be considered.
d. There is a restriction to the number of entries. You may only enter once.
e. To enter the competition you and your partner must: be over the age of 18 and each be legally entitled to marry; and not already be a married couple. The competition does not cover ‘renewal of vow’ ceremonies or celebrations.
f. Winners will only be contacted by LotusFM/SABC.
g. The SABC/ Lotus FM accept no responsibility for any problems or technical malfunction of any communication network or any late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible or corrupt entries. The SABC will not be liable for any costs incurred, responses received or any other consequences of user error.
h. Winners’ names will be announced on the 26th January 2018 on Lotus FM.
i. Only couples that are less fortunate and are unable to afford to have a wedding will be considered and legible to enter.
j. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The SABC will not be held responsible for any disputes arising from the competition or prize awards.
k. In order to claim this prize the winner must adhere to the rules of a specific campaign.
l. Winners may be required to appear on SABC Television or Radio, or on any other medium as shall be determined by the specific campaign.
m. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and agree to be bound by them when entering.
n. The wedding will take place during the month of February or March 2018. This is final and cannot be adjusted due to the planning process, unless a situation outside of the control of the SABC occurs.
o. The SABC reserves the right to cancel, modify or amend the competition at any time, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.
p. Entrants should be South African citizens with valid identification
q. SABC and Lotus FM will provide the items below, all other expenses that are not specified below will be at the winners own cost:
• Hall hire
• Catering- meals, cutlery, crockery, linen and waiters
• Hall draping and lighting
• Colour wash lighting
• Stage decoration
• Filming and photography
• Wedding car
• Centre pieces excluding fresh flowers
r. The wedding will take place in Durban and those attending the wedding will travel at their own cost. Flights and/or transportation are not included.
s. The knock out round will take place in Durban; participants will have to travel at their own cost. Flights and/or transportation are not included.
t. This prize is not transferrable for cash.
u. The relevant sponsors and suppliers to the key sponsors will not be liable for any damage, loss or accident that might occur during this competition. All participants are entering this competition at their own risk (ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE).
v. The number of guests are limited to 400.

e. If the person on being selected is called at the contact number provided by him/her and he/she is not available at that contact number immediately, he/she is disqualified.
f. Only the votes from the website polls and sms’s will determine the winner. Sms's charged at R1.50.
g. Multiple votes from the same number will be counted as one vote.
