LOTUS FM “The Connection Call Competition”
Lotus FM will be giving away R60 000.00 in prize money in The Connection Call Competition.
To stand a chance of winning your share of R60 000 in prize money, simply follow the step below:
Step 1: Stay locked onto Lotus FM
Step 2: SMS “Connection” to 3319
Entries open: 01/07/2020 and close on the 30/09/2020
Step 3: Random numbers will be drawn on various shows anytime from the 01/07/2020 until the 30/09/2020. These numbers will be called by a presenter or producer to inform the owner of the number that he or she has won a cash prize of R1000.00 in the Connection Call Competition. The owner of the number can increase their prize money up too R5000 by providing the presenter or producer with a friend or relatives number that we can contact live on air. If the connection call is made and the person answers, then the prize money increases by an additional R1000.00. The presenter will then ask the connection for another number to contact to increase the amount to R3000.00. This process will continue until the prize money reached is R5000.00. In the event that the presenter or producer is only able to contact the owner of number which entered the competition, then only R1000.00 will be won. In the event that the owner of the number cannot be contacted, then he or she is disqualified from winning the prize and another winner will be drawn.

Competition Terms and Conditions:
- This competition is open to everyone except directors, members, partners, employees, agents and consultants of the SABC and/ or the competition promoters, and/ or their spouses, life partners, parents, children, brothers, sisters, business partners or associates.
- No person may enter the same or any other competition hosted partly or in whole by Lotus FM within 90 days of winning a competition hosted or in whole by LotusFM
- The competition will start on the 01/07/2020 and end on the 30/09/2020. Entries received after this date/time will not be considered.
- Any person who wishes to enter the competition may submit as many entries as they wish for this particular competition.
- Entrants under the age of 18 must obtain permission from parents or guardians before entering
- SMS’s are charged at a premium rate of R1.50 per sms. . Free minutes and sms bundles do not apply.
- Winners will only be contacted by LotusFM/SABC.
- The SABC/ Lotus FM accept no responsibility for any problems or technical malfunction of any communication network or any late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible or corrupt entries. The SABC will not be liable
for any costs incurred, responses received or any other consequences of user error.
- Winners’ names will be announced anytime from the 01/07/2020 until the 30/09/2020.
- Prizes not collected/ or claimed within 90 days will be forfeited and disposed of in the discretion of the SABC and/or the competition promoter.Winner’s based in Kwa Zulu Natal need to make arrangements to have their prizes collected from SABC KZN Offices located at 100 KE Masinga Road, Durban.
- The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The SABC will not be held responsible for any disputes arising from the competition or prize awards.
- In order to claim this prize the winner must adhere to the rules of a specific campaign.
- Winners may be required to appear on SABC Television or Radio, or on any other medium as shall be determined by the
specific campaign.
- Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and agree to be bound by them when entering.
- Winners’ names will be announced on the date and on the medium as will be determined by the specific campaign.
- Prizes are not transferable.
- The SABC reserves the right to cancel, modify or amend the competition at any time, if deemed necessary in its
opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.
- Entrants should be South African citizens with valid identification
- In order to claim the prize the winner must provide and complete all the relevant documentation.
- Winners use prizes at own risk. The SABC shall not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect or
consequential loss), damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (including but not limited to that arising from any person's negligence) in connection with this competition or accepting or using the prize/s.
- Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and agree to be bound by them when entering.
Rules:
- The competition will start from 01/07/2020 and end on 30/09/2020. The date of the competition closing may be brought
forward in the event that the total prize money of R60 000.00 has been won. The competition may also be extended pending on the prize money available at the time.
- A person may enter as many times as they wish to increase their chances in the competition.
- SMS’s are charged at R1.50, free minutes/SMS's and SMS bundles do not apply.
- If an entrants number is drawn and is not contactable live on-air, then he or she is disqualified
- The maximum amount that may be won by an entrant is R5000.00 only
- R1000.00 prize money will be added to each connection the station is able to contact live on-air.
- An entrant will automatically win R1000.00 if their number is drawn and the presenter or producer is able to contact he or
she live on-air.
- The successful entrants need to provide only one contactable friend or family member’s number live on-air. The presenter or producer will only attempt to call them once.
- Entries that contravene the terms and conditions or the rules of the competition will be disqualified.
- Lotus FM reserves to right to amend or cancel the competition at any point in time without compensation or prior notice.
