Sagren Naidoo
Sagren was a broadcaster on the first ever Indian radio station in South African (Radio Truro). His knowledge of and passion for music saw him being offered the position of Senior Compiler on Lotus FM. It's a difficult job to say the least as Lotus FM services different language groups. Says Sagren, "Radio is an everchanging medium; we are being exposed to new technology all the time which is exciting for me. Music is very important to the Indian listener. My output is critical, but at the same time challenging."

Raeesa Mahomed
Raeesa was born in Durban and lived here for most of her life. She matriculated at PR Pather in Merebank and studied a BA (English, French and Drama) at the University of Natal. She went on to do a Honours in Cultural and Media Studies, obtaining it Cum Laude. She was the first Indian female TV presenter in South Africa. She was East Net’s first anchor. She worked for Zee TV in the UK as news anchor for 2 years. Back in SA, she presented for the TV magazine programme Good Morning SA and Eastern Mosaic. Raeesa started at Lotus FM in 1995 as current affairs and talkshow presenter/producer. She went on to do production, host the Bollywood Top 20, and anchor the 3 hour lunchtime show. She is currently drama producer at the station. She has done print and television modelling as well as written extensively for newspapers and magazines. She speaks 6 languages. Raeesa says: Always stand up for what is true and right, no matter what. You only have one life, so live it!

Rashnee Singh
Rashnee Singh, joined Lotus FM in 1995 after having worked as a Computer Software Consultant and has never looked backed since. The mother of four enjoys movies, music and family outings. As a secretary to the manager Rashnee finds her job challenging and exciting. No two days are ever the same. "I often wonder where I am most busy at home, or at work?, but I would never change either one for the world"

Krishnan Nair
Krishnan’s career in the broadcasting field evolved as a result of his passion for music and drama. Krishnan has been with the SABC for the past ten years and considers himself fortunate to have been at the forefront of changes with Lotus FM. In addition to his challenging role at Lotus, Krishnan is also a keen sportsman. In 2005 he received his National Colours for darts when he represented the SABC at the National Corporate Games. Besides being the Webmaster for the station and presenting the Tamil Top20, Krishnan makes it a point to find time to fulfil his performing role as a Master of Ceremonies and motivational speaker at functions. In his spare time, Krishnan still dabbles with his passion for theatre and to catch up with his singing talents. He has performed in various hit shows and is now concentrating on writing an autobiography.

Kamsiliya Arumugam
Kamsiliya Arumugam started of in 1996 as Programme Clerk at then Radio Lotus under the Khalik Sherif Management. Ever since the mother of 1 has undergone a portfolio change at the radio station and now works as an assistant to the Programme Manager. Heralding from a musical family, (her father being one of the original members of the “Raiders”), her passion for music and the arts, inspires Kamsiliya to work in full strength at Lotus FM. Her dedication and commitment to the organization, makes her a valuable member to the team.

Anitha Soojansingh
When Lotus FM started broadcasting in 1983, Anitha was both compiler and scriptwriter for practically all the programmes. Today, she's the station's Religious Producer. She's been chosen 5 times for the Prix Natalia Awards and once for the Artes after covering the World Hindu Conference. In what little spare time she has, she's either doing voluntary community work amongst the aged or teaching Hinduism to her class of 150 children.
